Italian designer Giulio Ridolfo, for whom we developed a palette of closely graded colors for a historic castle in southern Germany, was looking for a yellow without the slightest hint of green for the castle’s library. To convey his vision, he shared a photograph of the shrub rose Queen of Light Lucia, named in honor of St. Lucy, the patron saint of light. In full sunlight, its lush blossoms reveal an intense, bright yellow - an exceptional shade that he could not find anywhere. To capture the essence of this striking hue, we have developed an exclusive blend of organic yellow pigments embedded in pure Carrara marble. The result is a color of remarkable depth and vibrancy, particularly striking when paired with dark woods and cool grays.
