Color Concepts for Kitchens
The kitchen is the heart of many a home. It is where we cook, eat, gather, and share everyday life. A ktCOLOR color concept follows the same philosophy as a thoughtfully prepared slow-food meal: natural ingredients, skilled craftsmanship, and quality that brings lasting pleasure. Instead of following short-lived trends, our colors are made from the finest natural and mineral pigments to create kitchens that are as authentic as the food we prepare in them.
The following color concepts for kitchens were developed with ktCOLOR Architectural Colors for a wide range of homes and ways of living. They demonstrate how our pigments interact with light and surfaces to create kitchens that radiate warmth and authenticity rather than feeling cold and clinical.

What Really Matters in Kitchen Design
The kitchen has long since become more than a functional space: it's a place for gathering, for enjoyment, and for conscious living. In recent years, a shift has taken place. Natural ingredients, regional sourcing, and craftsmanship have moved to the center, while heavily processed, industrial products – from fast food to machine-mixed paint – increasingly fade into the background. This shift shows up not only in what we eat, but in how we shape our living spaces – in colors, textiles, furnishings, and flooring.
ktCOLOR applies the philosophy of Slow Food to color. With natural pigments, handmade paints, and an exceptional depth of color, we create a sensory environment that eases the eye and fosters a better relationship with our surroundings.
Colors in the kitchen shouldn't just imitate natural tones – that would be greenwashing. Warm natural colors from earth pigments, colors with an inner rainbow that make everything in the kitchen glow, and muted, stony colors from ground pigments all create a pleasant atmosphere and reflect your values in a room that stands for pleasure and togetherness.
